As someone who grew up “in the woods” of the Montgomery area, and born in Navasota, I
never thought I’d find the finest church, Change of Life Pentecostal Church, right here in Grimes
County, which is also known as “The Land of Milk and Honey!”
Having grown up in a Holiness Church as a child, I knew there was more to church than just
being a professional bass playing musician who worked and played for multiple churches, but
not really getting involved in them. Now I’ve found a real church home where I’m part of an
awesome music ministry, nothing but the Bible is being preached, and not one “jot or tittle” is
being changed is key, and where our main focus is ALWAYS about doing WHATEVER it takes
to make it into Heaven, and that includes being baptized in Jesus’ name, as stated in Acts 2:38
(KJV). Pastor Hoffman intensely preaches the Word to the congregation, and makes learning
the Bible very interesting due to his awesome knowledge and understanding.
We also learn that we should know/study our Word of God to continually show ourselves
approved and to rightly divide the Word because it’s ultimately about serving God & obeying His
many commandments (which=Heaven), or allow satan to wreak havoc over your life
(which=hell), and to realize there is NO in-between. Pastor Hoffman also teaches us these
commandments ARE NOT suggestions.
I’m so glad to be a member of this church in the woods. Thank you, Jesus!!! I NOW consider
Grimes County the land of milk and honey, and The Real Church!
