I was fortunate enough to be born in the church. My mother was pregnant with me when she started coming to the church so I have gotten to grow up with a Godly family around me my whole life. I feel blessed that I never had to experience the bad habits that some others have had to experience before finding the truth and needing to repent from those particular sins. Growing up in the church has taught me discipline and a fear of the Lord that most kids my age don’t have. One of my favorite bible verses is “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” (Matthew 5:16 KJV). I like that verse because it tells us that we need to let our light shine because people need to see us as Godly and not worldly.
