It has been about six months since I attended Change of Life Pentecostal Tabernacle for the first time. It had been only a few services before I was able to bring my two children for the first time. Being that I was still new to the church I was very hesitant bringing them for the first time. My son is autistic and has problems with loud noises. I wasn’t sure if he would be able to handle the worship or if either one of them would be able to sit still for the entire service. I also didn’t really have the opportunity to do anything with them outside of the house so I really had no idea how they would behave around people they didn’t know. Much to my surprise they did fantastic and because of the family we are here, everyone helped out whenever needed. My daughter especially connected really quickly to the women of the church and it wasn’t long before my son started to open up as well. This church has been a blessing for all three of us. My children are learning about Jesus and are surrounded by God fearing people. The truth I hear and learn from Pastor is constant, from the Word, and is everyday guiding me to be a better Godly man. Because the Lord brought me here and I choose to follow His Word everyday, my kids now have a father they can look up to. I am more confident in my ability to lead them in the right direction toward Jesus. The mindset of my family is now being excited to spend any chance we have with The Lord and our church family. My children choose, in my daughters words, “Jesus music” over the music other children are listening to. Even though it has only been six months the rightly divided Word that Pastor gives every time has given me more understanding of the Bible than I even thought possible. I wouldn’t trade anything from my past and give this up. The only thing I would change is that I could have come sooner! I am grateful for the Truth and excited that I get to watch my children grow up hearing it.
